I offer on site interpreting services in Nottingham and the Midlands. I can also provide interpreting services remotely via the telephone, Jitsi, Skype, TeamViewer, Whatsapp, Zoom and other conferencing systems anywhere in the world.
On site Amharic interpreting with a 5 mile radias of Nottingham's city centre is £24 per hour with a minimum charge of £39 which covers travel costs and other expenses..
On site interpreting outside of the Midlands is by negotiation and is dependant on time of day, travelling time and expenses. Within the Midlands please see the guide prices in the examples below.

Telephone / Skype / Zoom interpreting £21 per hour. Time over the booked time is charged by the minute. The minimum booking period is 15 minutes.
No V.A.T. is payable. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice. The minimum charge (less expenses) will be applied to bookings cancelled at less than 24 hours notice.

I was born and grew up in Addis Ababa the capital city of Ethiopia.
Amharic is my first language but I also speak Tigrinya, my Grandma's
first language. I lived in Cairo for 9 years where I became
fluent in Arabic. I was able to practice my English
in Cairo at that time too. I have now lived in the UK with my
monoglot English husband for 20 years.
I have been interpreting Amharic and Tigrinya professionally for 12 years. I have worked with medical professionals in the NHS, local authority housing and benefit officers. I also work solicitors in and out of court and in Doncaster and Peterborough HMP dealing with immigration, child custody and compensation claims. I have also done simultaneous interpreting supporting an attendee at a training presentation and workshop.
